The Laughing Dogs Music

The Laughing Dogs got their first break at CBGB's and went on to release 2 critically acclaimed albums on Columbia Records and a string of indie CDs. Hilly Kristal described them as "a band of good song writers, ... also excellent musicians." From Steven Spaz Schnee, AllMusic Guide: "The Dogs created a timeless sound that was as exciting as the explosive punk scene, but ... completely different.... power pop with a raw edge, yet very commercial. If Billy Joel's Glass Houses album was recorded by a band with 'street cred', then that band would have been the Laughing Dogs." They are also known for their zany onstage humor.
