The Green Children are Milla Sunde and Marlow Bevan, a European duo who write and self-produce the music they love.
Their first single entitled "Hear Me Now" was released throughout the United Kingdom & Norway and raised over $500,000 to help The Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Muhammad Yunus open the Grameen Eye Hospital in rural Bangladesh.
Milla (from Norway) and Marlow (from England) met at Sir Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. After signing with Universal Music Group upon graduation, they decided the best fit for their 2010 debut album, "Encounter", was Jackson Browne's Spinside Records. The record was distributed by ADA global and was made available at Whole Foods Market with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Whole Planet Foundation.
"Encounter" went on to receive rave reviews from countless media outlets including Mobo, and Rolling Stone Magazine and was nominated in the first round of voting for a US Grammy Award in two categories; "Best New Artist" and "Best Pop Vocal Album".
7th Heaven's remix of "Life Savior" debuted at #17 in the UK Club Charts, and remixes from DJ's Paul Oakenfold, Moguai and Digital Dog quickly spread TGC's music to dance clubs around the world.
After the release, Marlow and Milla produced an official remix for chart toppers Foster the People and the music video raised $10,000 for homeless children by reaching over one million views within the first week.
Searching for inspiration for their sophomore record, Marlow and Milla returned to the mysterious woods and crystal-blue lakes of Norway. While immersed in the countryside, the duo recorded and produced the full length album entitled "Connection".
Amoeba Music has sponsored the release, and The Green Children's headlining performance at The Roxy Theater on Saturday July 20th . "Connection" will be available a few days later, on July 23rd 2013 with physical CDs available exclusively through Amoeba Music.
"Feel the Light", the lead single from "Connection", is currently receiving airplay on both US and UK radio, and will be featured in the final credits of a major studio film in 2014 (TBA).
The "Feel the Light" EP is currently available on iTunes and Amazon and also includes the tracks "Kisses from the Sky" and "Possessed" off the upcoming release.
The track entitled "Norwegian Dream" is a derivative work of the #1 hit "Crockett's Theme". This track features Norwegian vocals and was approved by Jan Hammer, with the mechanical license issued by Universal Music Group.
