New wave revival outfit the Birthday Massacre formed in London, Ontario, in 2000 -- originally dubbed Imagica, the founding lineup was comprised of frontwoman Chibi, guitarists Rainbow and M. Falcore, bassist Aslan, keyboardist Dank, and percussionist O.E. “ Ok, these guys are frakkin' ADORABLE... And I can't stop grinning over the band-member's names: two are named after dragons from a fantasy movie and an anime, and one is from a C.S Lewis tale. How cute is that? Their music is listenable, swirly and with just enough growl to it that it trips all my circuit-breakers in a good way. :P ”
