Taggart, hailing from Philadelphia, has been a band for over 15 years and featured the same four members since 1998. Inspired by the intensity and attitude of 1980′s and early ’90s indie rock coupled with the melodies and harmonies of the 1960′s British Invasion Taggart has released four full length albums and has been featured on numerous compilations. Drawing on 15 years worth of songs their live shows can vary from loud indie rock to stripped down acoustic and have lasted anywhere from 30 minutes to over five hours. They’ve played entire sets of other bands material (the Replacements, the Who, Guided By Voices) and they’ve shared the stage with some of their biggest influences (Portastatic, Tommy Stinson) including opening for Grant Hart and performing as his backing band on a few Husker Du songs. Taggart self-released their fourth album For What It’s Worse in September 2011.
