Album: "The Rebirth of Soul"
This song is a cover of Betty Everett who is most famous for "The Shoop Shoop Song." This recording reunites me and my father, Syl Johnson for his upcoming project tentatively titled "The Rebirth Of Soul" featuring artists of today singing vintage soul music. Originally recorded in the 60'S, this is Rhythm & Blues in its PUREST form!! Enjoy and thank you all so much ---Syleena
Syl Johnson, a soul architect in his own right, produced the remake of "There'll Come A Time" and Syleena belted out this full-bellied song for the soul at 9 months pregnant while recording a new album of her own titled "Chapter V: Underrated" set for release in 2011. "God moves in Syleena, "says Syl proudly. Not to mention the live instrumentation with over 20 musicians that brings back the full-bodied sound of music. "There's a heartbeat behind every instrument and when you listen to the music you will hear a skillfully arranged masterpiece," says Syl. You can feel the pulse of that masterpiece in the music and message of Syleena's passionate delivery of "There'll Come A Time".
