Clara Ann Fowler (born November 8, 1927), known by her professional name Patti Page, is an American singer, one of the best-known female artists in traditional pop music. She was the best-selling female artist of the 1950s, and has sold over 100 million records. Her nickname is The Singin' Rage. Page signed with Mercury Records in 1947, and became their first successful female artist, starting with 1948's "Confess." “ I was lucky enough to see Patti Page, The Singing Rage, a few years back in Laughlin, NV. She looked great in her sparkling blue gown, all in a glitter! She sang swell. Later, Patti recognized me from her show (I had a front seat.), and saw me in the same 'rail car' restaurant and Patti and her husband came over to my table, and chatted for a while, with my husband, Larry & I. I also met her husband, son and grandchildren, after her great performance. Awesome. What a Lady! ”
