Nickel Creek is an American acoustic music trio. Although the group's music has roots from bluegrass, the trio describe themselves as "progressive acoustic". Nickel Creek consisted of three permanent members: Chris Thile (mandolin), Sara Watkins (fiddle) and her brother Sean Watkins (guitar).
