“ idk, I liked the single so bought the album in 99 and really, really liked it. It's so unique, and, except for the hit single, every other song seems to be about Alexander's relationship with some woman (Carol ine?).Very explicit (for 1999) lyrics about sex, drugs, suicide.., set to a well produced, classic, yet unique, pop/rock sondtrack. Then, the lyrics in the liner notes to the title song is a long list of political and organized religion critisms. It's like the entire album is a plea to this woman to come back form her new religion. It's a singular masterpiece, for this reason. I hope he got her back. ”
