Kreator is a German thrash metal band from Essen, Federal Republic of Germany at that time, formed in 1982, under the name Tormentor. They originally performed a speed metal style with Venom influences. The band is also influenced by Slayer, Metallica,Mercyful Fate, and Bathory.
