Highlord joined together in 1996 from a former project called Avatar. Founded by Sted and ex keyboard player Alex, the band recorded five full lenghts so far, starting in 1998 with "Heir of Power" to 2006 "Instant Madness".
Highlord have been signed with Underground Symphony Records, NorthWind Records, Arise Records and their albums released in USA, EUROPE, ASIA, RUSSIA, TAIWAN, SOUTH AMERICA....
We don't want to waste time talkin' about the past... let's use few words about the sixth album: "The Death of the Artists".
“The Death of the Artists” is the sixth full-lenght of the Italian speed power band: Highlord. Under the lead of Sted, guitar and mind of the quartet, the band is now back on the Metal style wich brought them the attention of the international audience when “When the Aurora Falls...” were released in 2000.
Melody , style and speed are the main features within the ten new tracks featured in this album. Including a wonderful version of Billy Idol's masterpiece: Rebel Yell.
“The Death of the Artists” has been recorded, mixed and mastered at the renown New Sin Studios by the sound guru Luigi Stefanini, between May and June 2009.
The cd will be released World Wide by: Scarlet Records (DGM, EXTREMA, NECRODEATH, DARK MOOR) and in Japan by Sound Holic ltd. within November 2009 with an exclusive anime bonus track: "Zankokuna Tenshi teeze" from Evangelion.
