From: OR, United States
Genre: Rock, country, folk
“Halfway Home” is the singer / songwriting duo: Frank Celentano & Larry Nichols.
Most new fans call it “Country-Folk-Rock" ... though some insist that it's more of a "Folk-Rock-Country" blend ... meanwhile their long-time fans kindly warn us not to get too caught up in the labels & simply kick back & enjoy the music.
If you want to play the “Blender Game” to get a sense of their style, toss The Eagles, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Jackson Browne, America, Keith Urban, Heart, Simon & Garfunkel, The Guess Who, Bruce Springsteen, Loggins and Messina, James Taylor & Brad Paisley into the blender, but the flow of the music comes across more powerfully when the ingredients are musically “shaken, not stirred!”
Take a listen; we think you’ll really like what you hear.
From their California roots, they collectively developed a uniquely eclectic sound that is reminiscent of the powerful “vocal / lyric / harmony” driven music of the late 60s, 70s and early 80’s, when they got together after to form and tour as the band “Thyss.”
Now reforming in the Pacific Northwest as “Halfway Home”, they've had their music playing on several Oregon / Washington radio stations and their songs “Upstairs Room,” “It’s What You Do” & “First And Final Chance” have received national radio play exposure.
Halfway Home received additional buzz and heat when they were the focus of a “cover story” in an “A&E” Feature when the “Halfway Home CD was first released.
Let us know what you think of the songs and say “HI”, we look forward to the interaction!
