Bobby Caldwell began his professional musical career playing with a group called Noah's Ark. They released two singles in 1967. He next joined up with Johnny Winter in his band. Next Caldwell was off to join Captain Beyond and he recorded with them on their self-titled debut. However, after the tour for that release, Caldwell left the group.
