Barbara Rose is a seasoned artist of considerable substance. She was three years old when her musical gifts surfaced at the piano, where she played by ear along with the classical recordings played in the home by her parents. At six years of age, she was accepted into the Juilliard School Of Music on a full scholarship and graduated at the age of ten, then trained for the concert competition. At age eleven, Barbara took first place in the Chopin competition and toured colleges as a soloist in piano concerti with orchestras.

Barbara’s gifts soon evolved as a singer-songwriter, as well. This was the area in which she personally became most at home with and she pursued this venue into her adult life as an artist. Barbara has performed from age seventeen as a professional singer-pianist in reputable clubs in Manhattan, Boston, Paris, Stockholm and Brussels.

Barbara’s style as a vocalist is bluesy with a Joplinesque edge. Her piano style is reminiscent of Thelonius Monk, but seasoned with that Juilliard polish. With unlimited range from Beethoven to the Beatles and centuries in between, Barbara Rose holds court with the best of the A-list as well as the walk-ins dropping by for a beer!

Barbara Rose writes all the music and lyrics on her cd’s, arranges and produces the recordings and later performs in the live capacity with a uniquely impressive potency that wins the respect and hearts of her audiences. Miss Rose is an entertainer as well as a recording artist. It is Barbara’s signature that she quickly develops a fan-based following who return to hear her play and sing.
