To understand an Artist is to know what

in his life influenced his music.

Paul Ranger grew up in Brooklyn where he

heard music from Soul/R&B artists and groups such as The O’Jays, Barry White, The Manhattans, Larry Graham , The Bee Gees,

The Jackson 5, Lou Rawls and many more. He

also liked to listen to music from his parents era such as the platters and The temptations. Coming forward he like to listen to, Whitney Houston, Alicia Keys,

Corbin Bleu, Ne-Yo Keith Sweat and more. However His musical taste is not limited to R&B, but extends to classic Country music

Think of Artists such as Ray Price, Charlie Pride,Loretta Lynn...) Soft Rock(Think of Artists like Sting, Foreigner, Bruce Springsteen, Celine Dion etc...)and gospel

of all styles, But don’t leave out reggae music, because, Paul was born on the Island

of Jamaica WI.

Although most of his years up till now has

been spent in the U.S.A. His Family, friends and the local radio stations never let him forget his roots with the playing of vintage artist such as Bob Marley, Marcia Griffiths, Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond, Freddy McGregor, Sanchez and more.

Since this was a self financed music project and perhaps there may be no more chance to

do another project again, (So He thought) He decided to include two reggae tracks on his “Love Things” CD. Tracks 12(“Interlude”) and 13(“Red Dress”) You can check it out at http://www.broadjam.com/paulranger(If the tracks mentioned are not there, they will soon be, so check back) Nevertheless, if circumstances permit, he would like to

produce a Vintage sound Reggae and a Gospel

and gospel CDs sometime in the future.

Paul’s other show business life is acting.

If you don’t recognize his name from any

well known movie or TV projects, it’s because the rolls were the smallest of the support rolls, an extra on shows like “Law and Order,” “New York Undercover” and “NYPD

Blue” However He did have a small speaking

roll in Director Ang Lee’s Movie, “Pushing Hands” which Lee made before he became

famous for Films like “Broke Back Mountain”

and others..

Apart from Show business Paul Ranger is A Computer/repair/network Technician and A tractor trailer Driver. He doesn’t mind the computer part but would like to take a break from driving trucks for a while mainly

because music and acting is his first love

and would like to concentrate on developing those crafts and perform for fans. He says performing for fans and hearing them express how they appreciate what he does is among

the best feeling one could have.

The Love Things album was Produced by

Sam Archer and co-produced by Paul Ranger.

Sam archer’s credit includes writing music

for the movie “Barber Shop”("Baby Girl"

sung by "B2K")among others.

The female voice on track 9 “Stay With Me”

is Kelley Eburne.
