Tanzanian vocal coach Joett, a former pop sensation whose debut single “Afro Lover” -– produced by multimillion selling British record producer Tambi Fernando -– peaked at number six in the UK dance charts in 1996; and featured in a multitude of club playlists and dance compilation albums across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, is back with a brand new single “I Could Never Live (Without Your Love)” on worldwide digital release December 20th 2010 via Island Def Jam Digital Distribution. Originally recorded with accompanying acoustic guitar -– with Tanzanian guitarist Ashimba –- by Kenyan born record producer Ken Kanyeria at 41 Records in Dar es salaam, Tanzania; with additional production, mixing, mastering and remixing by Patrick Jonsson at Ignition Studios -- a state-of-the-art recording studio in London, UK, this single has a total of six tracks. The Radio Edit, Remix, Original Acoustic Version and three Instrumentals. Several months later, on October 23rd 2011, a 70s Disco Remix of “I Could Never Live (Without Your Love)” debuted on Joett's 70s Disco 80s Pop radio show Boogie on Dar es salaam's Times 100.FM.


Joett, a resident of Dar es salaam and an accomplished vocal coach who was trained by one of the UK's top vocal coaches Sybil Esmore -– a protégé of legendary opera singer Luciano Pavarotti –- spends most of his time teaching his growing list of students how to sing. He says, “I am delighted to be back making music, and especially to be teaching people how to sing!”


With his follow-up disco single "Color Me Beautiful/Girls Girls Girls" (produced by Patrick Jonsson and Toby Warren) released December 10th 2012, and the music video for Color Me Beautiful released February 12th 2013 and kicking up a storm on East African TV channels, Joett plans to continue making music, performing and writing articles with handy tips on the art of singing like a pro. His voice training CD Learn to Sing with Joett and accompanying handbook Letters from A Vocal Coach is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2013.
