Sharon Hanjian Rondeau began studying the harp at the age of 8 after first learning basic piano and guitar. She won first prize in a number of competitions and attended the Eastman School of Music in Rochester on a full scholarship.

For 12 years, she was principal harpist of the New Britain Symphony Orchestra and for 22 years, she fulfilled the same role with the Manchester (CT) Symphony Orchestra. Sharon has also appeared with the Hartford, Waterbury and Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestras.

Following 28 years of public performance, Sharon retired in December 2016. She is now focusing on notating and publishing her arrangements for harp of Celtic, popular, early and sacred music as well as recording many of her favorite selections played at weddings and other special events over her career.
