Bill “Dolla Bill” Dodson a.k.a. “The Platinum Teddybear” was born Aug. 20, 1972 in Memphis, TN. He is a Southern Soul Blues Singer and performer. His roots are based in blues r&b and soul music. As a toddler he would perform for his family, namely his Great Grandfather Otha Joshua. Otha, who was a piano player and singer as well. His Great Grandfather would often pay Dolla Bill a quarter to perform for him, in a lot of ways Dolla Bill was getting paid to do his thing at a young age. Dolla Bill is most notably known as the lead singer for Memphis Own Fade Band. After a long stint with the band he left music for a brief moment but would occasionally perform for different bands and blues artist in the Memphis area and Chittlin Circuit. When he had come to the end of his hiatus, he landed the co-lead singing position with the Eye2Eye Band. He enjoyed his time with the Eye2Eye Band Dolla Bill stilled longed for the chance to have his own band. Low and behold it happened when through an awesome turn of events he called on a select top of musicians from Memphis who shared the same vision that Dolla Bill had musically and this band is now known as “The Full Effect Band feat. Dolla Bill”. As you would expect Dolla Bill and Full Effect have been very busy on the Chittlin and Southern Soul Circuit, performing in such venues as Full Effect Event Center, Memphis Sounds and various blues shows in the Mid South area. Dolla Bill is now embarking on his own musical projects with the new release of his single “Ain’t No Fun (When The Rabbit Got The Gun)”, which is written and produced by Writer, R&B, Southern Soul, Super Producer and Performer Mr. Omar Cunningham.
