Daniel M. Nakamura (born September 9, 1967), better known by the stage name Dan the Automator, is a Japanese-American hip hop producer. He founded the record label 75 Ark, which was distributed by Tommy Boy Records during its short existence. Cut Chemist has said "He is the be all and end all of DJ's. His work on Deltron 3030 is above reproach."[citation needed] However, there is no way this quote is factual because Koala spun 3030; Automator was on the panels.

He has created tracks for an Adidas advertisement campaign and formed a band with Mike Patton called Crudo.

In August of 2010, California band dredg announced via their website that Dan the Automator will be producing their fifth album, set for a release in March of 2011.
