The name of the band came from the combination of three band members' names, Grady Cross (guitar), Cody Canada (guitar, vocals), and Randy Ragsdale (drums). Jeremy Plato's (bass) name was not involved in the band naming. In response to rumors of preceding bassist, Matt Wiedemann, contributing to the band name, Cody Canada only stated that they weren't a band before Jeremy Plato, their current bassist. The band name alludes to Cody Canada's surname and to Canadian County, Oklahoma (where the town of Yukon is located): none of the members are, in fact, of literal Canadian origin.\u003c/p\u003e","musicPath":"/music/Cross+Canadian+Ragweed","playStationPath":"/stations/113268756/play","stationId":113268756,"bioPath":"/music/Cross+Canadian+Ragweed/_full_bio","similars":[{"musicPath":"/music/Miranda+Lambert","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/815/815b09fbd82fba19bc2eafcbf8b49264_md.jpg","artistName":"Miranda Lambert","artistId":10154,"station_id":113272916},{"musicPath":"/music/Jake+Owen","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/1f0/1f03fbf1ce1a5dc5a3513666a3956206_md.jpg","artistName":"Jake Owen","artistId":10403,"station_id":113273748},{"musicPath":"/music/Pam+Tillis","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/419/419d70d2bbd6659e1aeef33d6adcc457_md.jpg","artistName":"Pam Tillis","artistId":86101,"station_id":269605761},{"musicPath":"/music/Slaid+Cleaves","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/c5c/c5ca980603d66dd1c5317bc1ea651cab_md.jpg","artistName":"Slaid Cleaves","artistId":107112,"station_id":282139871},{"musicPath":"/music/Tracy+Lawrence","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/648/6488addb53c37c938ba413dc181502c5_md.jpg","artistName":"Tracy Lawrence","artistId":458716,"station_id":401297235},{"musicPath":"/music/Gov+t+Mule","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/c62/c6285ddc274e9f7462d612612a914be9_md.jpg","artistName":"Gov't Mule","artistId":11441,"station_id":113261864},{"musicPath":"/music/Tyler+Childers","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/1d0/1d09b4e354377384a3bd01a954fb35bf_md.jpg","artistName":"Tyler Childers","artistId":418349,"station_id":399812711},{"musicPath":"/music/Chris+Young","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/433/4339186e78bdeb9b15393fe90fdc8f9a_md.jpg","artistName":"Chris Young","artistId":14149,"station_id":113298745},{"musicPath":"/music/Aaron+Lewis","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/f67/f67b0edbea7c42ea9325b510f7993ab3_md.jpg","artistName":"Aaron Lewis","artistId":70963,"station_id":264571445},{"musicPath":"/music/Billy+Currington","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/f73/f73df4ccf41dac81002d6ae7a8823049_md.jpg","artistName":"Billy Currington","artistId":10305,"station_id":113267019},{"musicPath":"/music/Clint+Black","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/19c/19c5e651643cf1383e3a334288622620_md.jpg","artistName":"Clint Black","artistId":10723,"station_id":113271968},{"musicPath":"/music/Randall+King","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/9dd/9dd1a235e86fbc85d5c690ddae968c2c_md.jpg","artistName":"Randall King","artistId":432749,"station_id":400614506},{"musicPath":"/music/Toby+Keith","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/857/8574fe86bf12a551ca70f3b7d2d10896_md.jpg","artistName":"Toby Keith","artistId":1679,"station_id":113262094},{"musicPath":"/music/The+Outlaws","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/f61/f619a5d12d0c76e63e37415480566a5a_md.jpg","artistName":"The Outlaws","artistId":1468,"station_id":113330711},{"musicPath":"/music/Alabama","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/a4d/a4df17c68ce13f4c35047c0b8efbdb06_md.jpg","artistName":"Alabama","artistId":48,"station_id":113296567},{"musicPath":"/music/Zach+Bryan","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/94b/94be3897bcf2b96b947916c4d7ff7775_md.jpg","artistName":"Zach Bryan","artistId":442567,"station_id":400957248},{"musicPath":"/music/The+Cadillac+Three","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/63e/63e19b498277d4cc04da6d61707362bc_md.jpg","artistName":"The Cadillac Three","artistId":232707,"station_id":349802737},{"musicPath":"/music/Jon+Wolfe","artistDefaultImage":"https://artist99.cdn107.com/f51/f5193a76b94b9a81c6d1e0963bb69f65_md.jpg","artistName":"Jon Wolfe","artistId":415529,"station_id":400335290}]}
