Hi every friend, I come from Shanghai. I began to learn Taichi when I divorced 2008. I feel relax and happy when I doing Taichi and met some nice people cause of Taichi. Sometimes my friends ask me what is Taichi, it looks like dancing, how could it be a chinese WUSHU(martial arts).
Here are some of my opines, hope you could understand what is TAICHI.
TAICHI is not only a kind of chinese WUSHU(martial arts), but also is a belief to me. Because it is from Taoist, that belief everything is following nature.
When doing TAICHI, we should keep a quiet mind, every movement is thought control, slowly, continuity, softly with nature breath.
Preparations of doing TAICHI: two feet stand parallel as wide as your shoulder, keep spines in one line, keep the joints are released to do every movement. The mind focus on the movements (for the primary player).
If doing TAICHI in the right way, the breath wil be deeper than normal, it will full of the body from chest to belly, breath in and out. That will bring Qi.
Qi, is like the blood moving in the body. When Qi moving in everywhere of the body, likes massaging your body inside, the internal organs get well massage. That is one of reasons we found TAICHI is good for health.
When you feel Qi, try to control it and use it. If you know how to use Qi from inside of the body to outside of the body by your hands, feet, shoulders, etc, that would be great power.
