2008 – Living in San Antonio and tried to put together a metal band that never happened

Mar 2009 – I moved to Austin from San Antonio to pursue music and jammed w numerous people/projects

Sept 2009 - I joined Black Chapter, a metal band forming in Round Rock, Tx

Oct 2009 – Bassist Jack Krupski joined Black Chapter

Dec 2009 – Rafael Lopez auditions for vocalist of Black Chapter

Jan 2010 – Myself and Jack decide to leave Black Chapter and jam with Rafael and his friend and drummer Andy Rodriguez. Starting with some of my riffs and Rafael’s lyrics that just fit together perfectly as our 1st song to play around with. Jack and Andy put their magic in and that song became Brown Sugar Spoon shortly after…

Feb 2010 – BLACK THORN HALO is officially formed!!!

May 2010 – 1st demo is released! Recorded in only 2 days at a studio in Austin…
