I was very busy from the age of 5 to 14 as all four of my grand-parents were. I used to go with my grand-father to where the elderly gathered to discuss important events about the village. He is a wise person and the village elders used him as their consultant. Elders and small children are much respected according Betis culture in Southern Yaounde. Elders in many African societies are respected by their relatives and have strong voices on any important issue discussed in the village.
I run my own world. I am the captain of my own ship and I will forever be. But even so my friends have contributed to this drive. Their successes have made me work harder. Their mockery has pushed me to prove them wrong. Their encouragement has motivated me to do much better.
No matter what we do, the people we stay with, laugh with, socialise with have a greater impact with the decisions we make. That's why I always say friendship is more important than any relationship. But when it comes to implementation of those decisions it's up to an individual to choose his/her own.
Nothing has so much influence on my decision-making right now than my family
