Hello. I have been getting a LOT of friend requests from people (especially women) I do not know and who do not have much, if any information (not even a photo), in their profile. It's getting quite annoying, actually. Before I accept anyone as a "friend" I have to see that there is at least some similarity/compatibility in our interests and musical tastes.

To me, an online "friend" is usually someone I also know off-line (but not always) and have some common interests. In short, I'm somewhat picky about who I choose for online friends. Don't be offended if I deny or ignore you; it just means that I don't see a real friendship ever likely to develop.

Also, while it's a compliment (I suppose) to be referred to as a "stud muffin" in a public comment (that I am likely to delete), I'm NOT here for dating or meeting other singles. I'm here for the music.

As for my musical tastes, I grew up in the 70s listing to a lot of "beautiful music" (easy listening), was a teen in the 80s (big print sweaters and poofy haired bands), attended college in the 90s (introduced to more alternative music types and country), and in the 2000s am expanding my tastes to international artists (thanks to the Internet). As a result, my tastes in music are a bit eclectic. Jango is fun because it helps me find new artists I like (how did I ever miss out on ABBA?) and even cross over into new styles of music.
