He has worked with artists like La' Chat, Mike Jones, Yo Gotti, Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Nelly, Jim Jones, Blak Jak, Project Pat, Wifey, and more. His aliases are Nakia Shine, Kinfolk, Kia Shine, and Kinfolk Jones. In August 2006, he hosted an episode of BET's Rap City. He recently signed a deal with Universal Records. Kinfolk Kia Shine is a co-CEO with rapper/CEO Jack Frost of Rap Hustlaz. Kia Shine won the Southern Entertainment Award (S.E.A.) this year for best underground artist having sold over 200,000 albums with his independent label, Rap Hustlaz. Kinfolk Kia Shine's first Major record debut with Universal Records is entitled Due Season. According to his underground mixtape, Supply and Demand Vol.6 hosted by DJ Sir Swift, Due Season was released on July 31, 2007[1] on Universal. The first single is "Krispy".
