Jean Louise Balliet died one year ago, October 11, 2010. She lived in Taos, NM, at the time. A group she had danced with dedicated their next gathering to her memory. Jean also had friends on Facebook and other web sites around the world. She grew up in Springfield, Ohio and had lived in Taiwan for a year or so and in Ann Arbor for many years. Instead of having a memorial service at some geographical location where a limited number of friends could be, we decided to put together a memorial web site, where we can share her voice, her images, our memories, and your remarks as well. We send our gratitude to all of you who helped make her life a meaningful one, and special thanks to her daughter Clara June, whose love helped Jean live a happier life, and whose skill and dedication make possible this site:
www.jean.balliet.muchloved.com
On the site, you can see many photos of Jean, read a short autobiography and some comments by Clara, hear Jean and Karen sing some Austrian songs, and share your own impressions and memories.
