About Me

Born 47 days early, Raymond “Lo-Key Tucker knows the importance of incubation. For the last decade Lo-Key allowed his talent to incubate and grow to maturity. Now in 2010, he stands poised and ready to enter the music scene bringing with him an arsenal of music that will inspire, invoke thought, provoke discussion, engage emotions, and stir minds for years to come.

A Staten Island native, Lo-Key pulls his influence from the legendary Wu-Tang, Nas, AZ, Jay-Z, Outcast, Timbaland, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Diddy, Dr. Dre, Talib Kwalib, Mos Def, Common, and many more.

Lo-Key sharpened his skills along side of his former band, Poetic Black. In a three year period spanning from 2006 to 2009, Lo-Key would pen lyrics to over 60 songs, (not including his own), and perform over 20 times live on stage.

A student of the Art Institute of California – San Diego, Lo-Key applies his managerial and leadership skills he learned over the course of seven years in the Navy to further his music career and earn his Bachelors degree in Audio Production.

With the dawn of the New Year, Lo-Key is pushing forward with his first official mixtape “Revolution Musik” with the intent of gaining the attention of hip hop heads to industry pros.

As an ASCAP member, Lo-Key has already reserved his tickets for the I Create Music Expo in Los Angeles this April, 2010, hoping to gain the connections necessary to launch his own label “Electronic Warfare” in the future.

As a songwriter, recording artist, recording and mixing engineer, Lo-Key posesses the skills to stand amongst his peers and the talent that you will enjoy.
