The pop/rock quartet Lifehouse features singer/songwriter Jason Wade, who originally tagged the band Blyss during the group's initial 1996 conception. After playing in various music scenes in Seattle and Portland, Wade brought Lifehouse to life in Los Angeles. Their thick sound was compared to Live and Matchbox Twenty, but Wade insisted Lifehouse was entirely original.
