The bio is very incorrect! The Beastie Boys were well embraced in the urban community in the 80's.The Beastie Boys mania spread like wildfire at the release of "Licensed To Ill ", they were played at house parties, car shows, MTV, in school yards at lunch and after school, and were in heavy rotation on urban radio . The critics did not give them a fair rating, but we in the urban community in the 80's sure did! I can still hear the heavy bass from " Paul Revere " blasting from every vehicle with a back row of sub-woofers in the 80's! Those were the days.
