09.01.08 I saw AIC in a local conventin center . I never saw Mad Season, but I was a fan from first sound of his true self I " felt his lyrics spoke volumes on the human spirit and the torment we ( the human race ) inflict on ouselves. Unlike most singers in Lane's catagory -Cobain-Scot Wyman their similarities BEYOND music factor was their lifestyles the extra caricular attivitis. he was pure in his Mad Season . Nirvana is Cobain AIC was a collacerated band but Lane rocks and he is missed by all her appreciate what a gift his tones and vocal pitch drops brought to us. |

08.23.08 heres the thing w/ kurt. i love the man to death (and that might be how he died...ha) but the reason nirvana exploded was all because of Smells Like Teen Spirit. it exploded all over the mainstream and i think it gave grunge to people who werent from seattle. now if you want to talk about success of first albums well then...aic clearly wins, because of dirt, and not many people know about bleach. but i do think that layne was a better singer than kurt, but i think what really helped layne out a lot was jerrys amazing harmony. and aic is a different kind of music from nirvana. but whatever. im not really gonna bother any more. because even tho nirvana is my favorite band ever, i do still think AIC is a better band. but whatever. we can just disagree. and im fine with that. =) peace out |

08.18.08 he should have been bigger than kurt cobain. bigger than the grunge movement. i believe he was the better singer than anyone in the 90's. he deserved more and i blieve most people don't know what we really lost. |
