During their initial 14 years of existence (1973-1987), Journey altered their musical approach and their personnel extensively while becoming a top touring and recording band. The only constant factor was guitarist Neal Schon (born February 27, 1954), a music prodigy who had been a member of Santana in 1971-1972. 10.01.08 if journey is trying to seperate them selvs from Steve perry, why did they hire a guy to imitate him, right down to movements and the loepard print shirt? He does do a fine imitation. But i saw Journey live with Steve and his voice is AMAZING. This new guy is good but Steve Perry will always be Journey to me. Also he has some great stuff he has done alone since leaving Journey. No bad intended to the band they were great then, i am sure they still are. |

09.28.08 Just got back from seeing journey at the shoreline... great concert they found steves' repacement very high energy good voice. Heart and cheat trick, too. Like a mini day on the green thanks for the memories. |
