Gothenburg, Sweden-based death metal outfit Dissection were formed in 1989 by singer/guitarist Jon Nodtveidt and bassist Peter Palmdahl; with the addition of drummer Ole Ohman the following spring, the group recorded its first demo, The Grief Prophecy.
