The Constantines first rocked their way out of Guelph, Ontario, in 1999, with Bryan Webb and Steve Lambke on vocals and guitar; bassist Dallas Wehrle; keyboardist Will Kidman; and drummer Doug McGregor. By 2001, the quintet had relocated to Toronto and issued their initial, eponymous full-length. Arts-Crafts.com is where you can find these guys now. They made two great albums on sub-pop to, if you can find it, they do a great cover of Talkings Heads-"Thank You For Sending Me An Angel". If you have the oppurtunity see them live. Read their bio, Bruce Springsteen, Nick Drake, and Fugazi are pretty good company.
