Student of the game, since 8 years old, Tivon Branch, AKA Von is child of hip hop. When asked where his style originated. He simply expressed. "My style is me...No more no less." He continues. "I'm a red-headed stepchild of the East Coast for raising me in hip-hop/rap. A adopted sibling to West Coast. A distant cousin of the South. Each coast raised and trained me in hip hop, even though I'm a child of the forgotten coast "The Midwest"

"I came up with the name Von, off my love for creative art. I use to be a major nut for sketch art, and my inspiration were many great painters, Da Vinci, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo. But, the only one that struck a cord with me was Vincent Van Gogh. Because he was one who seemed to relate to me as an outcast a little and was loved, no matter for it. So I sitting around with my friends and they asked me what I wanted for a rap name, it just popped in and I just said "Von" and it was a name that just felt right."

"In 05' my first try at a album/mixtape was a massive failure because I never learn the art of storytelling/songwriting, and just put words to beats AKA bullshit on bullshit, so I scraped the whole project. I moved to Atlanta and received a massive amount of tutelage from a number of people around me. 2 years later joined the military but over those four years I mess with music and played wth groups and camps, but none too serious like I was with the ambition, I HAVE to make a mark."

I moved back to the Quad Cities, round 2009, and bout a good 7 months back I linked with a old friend, named Troy "Beijing" Williams we talked later we recorded five songs, one being "Tonight" Fast Forward to now, on the eve of completing my very first focus mixtape, the Von Gogh Chronicles. Unforturnately that also failed, scraping that project also I revamped my focus to recrafting old songs, and new music as well to reaching masses.

"Spitting since I been shitting in your wheaties back in 83' not yet born, but you been waiting to love me" Von raps, with all going in, to get it all on the out. Born in Silvis, IL and raised in Quad Cities. He is a child of relentless, those who are looking to make a impact, amongst the stars in the heavens. "Looking around me I see a lot of cats around me who making a way and I looking to do the same. I see people like Young X, Yung Blaze, Dj K Yung, Pzy, Desi, and Caliko, just to name a few who make strides from the same parts I am from and lights a fire in me to match and raise the bar.

So far, he has done a little interview twice with Chicago's 88.9FM Fusion Radio,(one over the phone, the other live) but he wants to build on this. As he has stated. "I want to build on anything I do next." The new music he has brought together, he seems very comfortable with is more elated, and overtly excited to release. Following the advice of his many mentors, he exercises patients, ever ready drop his potential to eager new fans wanting a taste.

Winter is coming, and a new year with it. During the summer, Von gave the world a taste with Worth N Weight. But at the end of the year you will have a full serving of Von with his street album "The Unleashing."
