“A force to be reckoned with” is what Bobby Blotzer of Ratt says about Texas’ own hard rocking foursome Slickfist. In 1996 Slickfist was formed to bring their own brand of raw power rock to the masses. The current CD Subharmonic Addiction released in 2007 was produced by Bobby Blotzer (Ratt, Angels of the Underground) and is available on CD Baby, Napster, I Tunes and many online retailers. Slickfist is: Bill Lutz, Lee Williams lead guitar, Chris Farrell on bass and back up vocals and Tom Gidley on drums. “A four piece with extraordinary balanced sound, Slickfist throws out some outstanding guitar riffs and harmonizing vocals…”-Susan Thorsen, All Access Magazine.
In 2007 Slickfist won the MACT Groovy Award for Outstanding Live Performace.
In 2008 Slickfist was a finalist for the Independent Music Awards Album of the Year, Subharmonic Addiction.
In 2009 Slickfist won the Independent Music Awars Vox Populi (Peoples Choice) Award for Best Rock/Metal Album!
Slickfist has performed at Rock the Bayou, The Texas Rockfest and Rocklahoma 09.
Past what people believe is the mainstream power enigma in central Texas, which is being driven by other things than talent and performance. There is no doubt in my mind that this band is one of Texas's elite groups of musicians. Their songs are well arranged and produced, containing the quality of compositions that other highly recognized bands lack. This added to a live performance level that is worthy of any stage. My compliments are truly rare as to to how I view other musicians, but I can freely say this band is one of the best in the Lone Star State.
