Mykebou whose real names are Michael V Bolgent, was born in 1987, in the small town of Michika, Adamawa State, Nigeria. He started singing at a tender age, performing along side other kids in sunday school. Mykebou began writing songs in 1999. He joined a Gospel music group in 2003 and came up with an album title "Return". In 2005, Mykebou came up with his first studio single "One Love".

In 2006, Mykebou went on a solo and he joined the music production crew at Sparklyn Studio, and came up with several singles including "Happy People", "Be your Man" and "Christmas Time", which airplays in local radio station.

In 2010, he began working on his project, the album LOVE SCENARIO which is still on progress. Mykebou released club banging singles that included "Funky Club" "Fire Burning" which he featured the multitalented rapper Shizzy D, and lastly the new single "Fancy Girls" as part of his album promo.
