Lads Who Lunch are an Italian quartet currently based in Rome who have just released their debut album, TALK.
On an album they like to describe as 'post wave', the 12 tracks speak of abandonment, anger, jealousy, rebellion, hope, comfort, justice, escape and freedom from the big cities packed with people who do not know each other and the dificulty to communicate, meet and share - all through the synth supported flavor of punk funk.
TALK is an album that speaks of the need to communicate and contact with people, to get beind the masks, which is what they have tried to convey on the front cover.
LADS WHO LUNCH have participated in national festivals and competitions and took the crown in 2009 of "Rock weblog Italy", winning praise from both public and the critics.
This success has allowed the band to establish itself as a top emerging independent band within the Italian scene (although they sing in English), and helped them cross borders into some of the most important clubs and stages in France.
In 2012 they finished work on their first album TALK. This new release marks a renewed attitude, through which the band aims to convey a message of opposition to the new and distorted forms of communication that distance people from each other. The album has been released by RBL Music Italia and is distributed by Edel, Italy.
