Girl Problems: wry, mischievous, a touch absurdist. Poignant. A band consisting of two scruffy guys...and four glamorous gals.
Brave, revealing lyrics never fail to catch you off guard. Nick Weber puts forth his vulnerability with confidence and humor. He sings about vexing issues of everyday life: a date which turns into babysitting the young lady's nephew, a dinner cancelled because she 'ran out of Paxil'. The music is festive, celebratory, but listen closely and you’ll hear private confessions to which anyone can relate.
Grammy winner Charles Goodan creates deliciously catchy melodies...it's hard to refrain from singing the refrains! Squelchy keys, playful guitars, and snappy, disco-happy drums...instinctive, infectious, soulful.
Oh, and the four girls? Sexy, funny, musically gifted...where in the world did these guys find them?
With an upbeat, almost friendly sound, Girl Problems is a truly enticing act, bold and unusual; rather sophisticated...and just a tad scandalous.
Special guest performances by violinist Lili Haydn, percussionist Mauro Refosco, and vocalist Toby Huss
