Decades: 1990's and 2000's

Chastity Bono (lead vocals, percussion, guitar), the daughter of Sonny and Cher, met Chance (lead vocals, guitar) while both studied at NYU. Finding that their voices harmonized well, the two decided to begin writing songs and soon signed to Geffen. They picked up guitarist Pete McRae, keyboard player Steve Bauman, bassist Louie Ruiz and drummer Bryn Mathieu, and recorded their debut, Hang out Your Poetry.
