Rashaan “Yung Poppa” Hornsby, Jr. was born and raised in Camden, NJ, at the age of 13 years old Yung Poppa is determined to let his voice be heard. Yung Poppa a young Hip-Hop artist is a native of New Jersey and has performed at various local venues, talent shows, and most recently won first place at the world famous Apollo Theater on February 2, 2011 rapping “I Get It In Remix”. Yung Poppa has also auditioned for Season 6 of “America’s Got Talent”, also performed at the “Xtreme Kids Fashion Show” at Essex County College, & Season 2 of TLC’s Four Weddings TV Show. Yung Poppa most recently performed at the “Scream Tour Philly”, as the opening act for “Diggy Simmons” & “Mindless Behavior” & “Power House Philly 2011” as the opening act for “Chris Brown”. The superstar released his first mixtape ‘Triple Threat Vol. 1” at the age of 10 years old in February 2010. Yung Poppa is an Honor Roll student in the Camden City School District. In addition to being an Honor Roll student and Hip-Hop Artist he also plays for the Football team the Centerville Simbas & Wrestle’s for the Camden Wolverines Wrestling Club. Yung Poppa aspires to go to college and pursue a degree in Architecture and to always be an example to other kids to stay in school and follow their dreams.
