Wavelength band offers a smorgasbord of musical styles and textures for jazz and music enthusiasts to enjoy. Their sound is the product of the diverse cultural and musical background that each core member brings to the group. Add to that exciting mix the extensive experiences of the contributing artists and you have music that is uniquely Wavelength's. From the Latin roots of some members, to Rock, Jazz, R&B, Funk, and Soul, Wavelength is a refreshing and dynamic fusion of these sounds. Wavelength is led by Ferdinand Magallanes (keyboards, composer, producer, vocals). This group consists of seasoned musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area, and reflects the sounds and feel of the area's musical landscape. Their unique sound will take you on a journey that you will not want to end. Wavelength members have recorded/performed/shared the stage with artists such as Patii Labelle, Pete Escovedo, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Malo, Sapo, and many others. Wavelength released their CDs titled "Cruzin the Music Highway" and "Masarap (delicious) - check out the Sound Bytes page on our website (http://wavelength.fmcompserve.com). The first CD release, "Cruzin the Music Highway" had 2 cuts make the Radiowave Airplay Monitor Smooth Jazz Chart as well as the Live365 Smooth Jazz Chart. "Sunday by Tumon Bay" was #1 for 7 weeks and "Sorry Sadness" was #2 for 2 weeks at Radiowave Monitoring. We are currently working on our 3rd CD titled "Keep it Going" due for release in 2009. Members/Contributors include Al Killingsworth, Jeff Cox, Paul Samson, and Marcus Lopez on Bass, Ron Smith, Jason Stewart and Oscar Estrella on guitars, Bobby Gaviola on drums, Bobby Rawlings, Alex Murzyn, and Steve Feireabend on Sax/Flute, Michael Galisatus on trumpet and flugelhorn, John Duarte, Carlos Caro and Victor Nolasco on percussions, Derek James and Terry Russell on trombones, Joy de Leon, Jim Starr, Remo Goods and Lianni Castro on vocals.
