Walk off the Earth is a Canadian indie band formed in Burlington, Ontario.

Founded in 2006, the band's first success came from covering the songs of The Gregory Brothers. The video of their cover of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" featuring The Creepshow's Sarah Blackwood became rapidly popular on YouTube in early 2012, gathering almost 47 million views in 29 days. and received positive responses from both Gotye and his co-singer on the song Kimbra.

In the video, the five musicians appear to play on a single guitar. They claimed they all used the same guitar because they only had one guitar at the time. On Saturday 7 January 2012 actor Russell Crowe tweeted the band after seeing the video and pitched his catalogue to them. Alyssa Milano and Troian Bellisario are both other fans, Troian sharing the video on her Tumblr page on 20 January 2012. Ellen Degeneres featured the band on her January 23, 2012 show where they played live, again on one guitar, despite member Gianni being ill. The band has also covered "Someone Like You" by Adele, "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO, and dozens of other tracks.
