Unjay lives by the sea in Semaphore, Australia.
Unjay's current release is a song written by a friend, Delia Olam, "Yesterday (Today)", a sixties-inspired epic treatment of a verse adapted from the Bhagavad Gita. Unjay did all the parts, including the nine vocal parts, but not the drum part, as he admits he isn't really any good at that kind of thing. The recording was mastered at Abbey Road Studios, London.
Blackberry Jam Records being based at home, Unjay can be said to run a record company in his pyjamas.
Unjay has just had his debut as a composer for theatre, having done the music for his daughter Lucy Markiewicz's production of "Will and the Ghost" by Aoise Stratford and Conal Condren.
