Origin: Ontario,Canada
Decades: 2006 - present
The summer of 2006 gave birth to a sound that listeners of years prior had only dreamed of: the fresh, upbeat, old school punk band, Unbelievers. The band was born out of frustration with the music industry's unidentifiable, repetitive sound. With a genuine passion for performing and writing music, front woman Jen Unbe called upon three others with significant musical ability. After a couple member changes the final line-up consisting of Jen Unbe, drummer Cindy C and bassist Mike P set out to save music with some good old punk & roll. Armed with undeniably catchy songs, instrumental talent, lyrical wit and ingenuity Unbelievers have already captured the attention of fans across Ontario, Quebec and Buffalo. Known for an energetic and unforgettable live set, Unbelievers performed for a number of events including S.C.E.N.E fest, Canadian Music Week, International Pop Overthrow as well as a recent tour with The Queers. Unbelievers have garnered flattering media coverage from such press as Exclaim, Gasoline, and Red Skin Magazine. Categorized as high energy, old school punk rock, and compared to the likes of The Ramones, Unbelievers are due to release their first full-length album (produced by punk rock icon, Joe Queer) later this year.
