Tomasauk was born in New York City. He was raised on 101st Street and First Ave better known as Metro North. Growing up in Harlem everything around him inspired him to tighten up his lyrics and deepen his understanding of music. Back in the 80's at the beginning of his career he chose the stage name Terror-T, but arrived at a point as an artist where he wanted a name that really said something about who he was. Tomahawk became the moniker of choice due to his Native American roots. However, after discovering there was another artist with the same name he settled on Tomasauk a named derived from the Blackfoot tribe.
Harlem’s best kept secret in music production, this multi-talented artist writes all of his music and spits with a cool flow that will either mellow you out, awaken a cultural consciousness in you or just make you want to get up and party. He edits his own videos and designed the Team Tyson 72 artist management website. Tomasauk is also the CEO and co partner with his Manager Tyson Scott of the famous custom clothing store Harlem Universe. He’s traveled across the globe and performed with the likes of Wu-Tang clan, Smiff-N-Wesson and Mr.Cheeks of the Lost Boyz. He’s performed in various venues from New York City’s Jacob Javits Center to arenas in Bombay India.
His diverse musical and artistic influences include: Marvin Gaye, Rakim, KRS 1, EPMD, Jungle Brothers, Public Enemy, Lost Boyz, Tribe Called Quest, Clark Sisters, Andre Crouch, Bob Marley, Jay-Z, Emenim, Tupac.
Tomasauk aspires to set the world ablaze producing music that reaches the masses and moves the people. The pinnacle of his career will be building a major record label so that he can find and develop the next crop of superstars to take over where his art and his music leave off.
