The Kavanaghs are a musical paradox. Although the group calls RRosario, Santa Fe, Argentina home there music sounds nothing like what you would think a group from Argentina would sound like. The groups name has Scottish origins, they write songs about England, their sound is a cross between The Beatles, Badfinger and The Raspberries and the groups first release was in the UK.
The groups Producer Tiago Galindez , is a song writer, plays bass, piano and background vocals and is a collector of the music of both British and American pop groups.
The Kavanaghs are: Alejandro Pin (vocals and guitars), Tiago Galíndez (vocals, bass, piano, music) Diego Vázquez (Guitars and backing vocals) and Sebastian Cairo (Drums, percusion and backing vocals).
The Kavanaghs first album is full of retro power pop songs influenced by classic bands like The Beatles, Badfinger and Raspberries, The Beach Boys, The Zombies and The Kinks among other great bands from the sixties to nowdays like Fountains of Wayne, Keane and Starsailor.
"Beatles, Badfinger and Raspberries fans will love this band!! This guys really wear their influences well. Catchy melodies and great harmonies are still alive. It's a pleasure to hear their songs!!"
Eric Carmen and Jim Bonfanti from the Raspberries
