Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Jeffrey Lundeen of the The Jaydeans, enjoyed music and enjoyed singing but never really thought of pursuing a musical career. But after trading in his trumpet for a guitar at the age of 18, fans of The Jaydeans are sure pleased that he has been making music ever since. The third album from The Jaydeans "Wishing Well" ends the wait for the fans who have been following them since the success of their 2004 release "Brand New Day". With rainy-day hope the songs from "Wishing Well" reflect on some of life's tougher realities: lost love, lost lives and broken homes. Yet in the end the message of love rings through loud and clear. Carefully constructed and wrought with texture "Wishing Well" is a definite step forward. The organic sounds of guitar and piano are infused with synthesized aspects that act like the thread used to sew together a fine quilt. Creative, interesting and explorative, these songs are all about warm pop hooks, upfront vocals rich with harmonies, and unobtrusive electronic elements. The Jaydeans have brought them all together superbly in this well-crafted album "Wishing Well".
