The Infinite Three was conceived after drummer Robert Allen and guitarist Daniel Knowler wrapped up activities with their previous band, Leisur Hive.
Taking cues from Leisur Hive's greyed-out art-rock, but blurring the edges with psychedelic drones, dub techniques and improvisation, The Infinite Three released a web-only EP of work in progress titled 'Medium Term Strategy' towards the end of 2009. Medium Term Strategy's skeletal sound sketches eventually snapped and gave way to the heavier, more solid 'Is Erased' single.
With the help of bassist Sam McLaughlin (Debbie Leggo) The Infinite Three played a launch gig for the Is Erased single at The Others, London in March 2011. The show was broadcast live via ill.fm.
Crust Of Utopia, the debut album, is the result of various live improvisations which took place between 2009 and 2011; heavily edited, processed and chopped up into seven songs of dense, repetitive mastication. The album is due for release on the 1st of June 2011 as a digipak version (limited to 50 copies), a standard jewel case version (limited to 300 copies) and as a high quality download from http://theinfinitethree.co.uk
