The Glitch, otherwise known as Jonathan M. Hart, was born in San Jose Ca, on May 20, 1981. Early in life Jonathan expressed an interest in music. When he was eight, he heard the song, Scarborough Fair by Simon and Garfunkel and his love for harmonies was born. He quickly started listening to other harmonizing geniuses, including Phil Spector and Brian Wilson. The Wall of Sound movement had found its biggest fan.
In his teenage years, he found the world of electronica through the debut album from the Psykosonik and never looked back. From Freestyle, to Industrial, from Techno to IDM to Ambient, Jonathan could not stop himself from listening to it all. He immersed himself in the music.
In 2002, Jonathan moved to Santa Barbara where he attended UC Santa Barbara. While attending there, Jonathan got heavily involved with music and began to teach himself how to compose and arrange music. Over the next 5 years, the Glitch would start to take shape. With every song, Jonathan got closer and closer to finding his own sound. In 2011 he was ready for The Glitch to release his debut album, “The Wallification of Sound.” The album was officially released January 4th, 2012 which is also his father’s birthday.
The Wallification of Sound, is a savory blend of electronic melodies for your ears to enjoy.
