Hailing from rainy fjords of Norway, it should come as no surprise that The Dead Birds does not dwell on the cheerful side of life. Simply waking up to the sight of mist embracing the haunting shapes of the mountains can be more than enough to cast you in a certain sense of melancholia.
And it is here that The Dead Birds reside. Gently accepting that life brings what it may, music has become the best way to transmit that beyond the aging walls of an old house. The Dead Birds blends emotions through evocative melodies that together create a haunting tale.
This is evident on the debut release The Silent Scream. An album that amongst it's listeners having described their experiences as anything from a pearl in the darkest sea, to time having stopped and earth become grey.
The Dead Birds do not seek to provide mere songs for a moments pleasure. The desire is of a much more profound nature. The Dead Birds seek to steal you away from all conflicts, stress and hardships and bring you to a different place where you can close your eyes and just listen.
