THE CHOSEN 1'S ARE COMING....
Bred in the Lehigh valley, this male/female, Rap/Hip Hop duo, seemed like an unlikely collaboration, coming from their different styles, and backgrounds.
Destiny would have it that five years ago, in 2006, this pair would cross paths, while chilling in Allentown, with an immediate rapport that blossomed into musical chemistry.
Drama, 29 years old, hailing from allentown, Pa has been rapping since age 17. She comes from a third generation of musicians, which includes her Grandfather, a drummer& vocalist, who performed with the likes of the Big Band Era's Harry James. Her mother, a lead vocalist- percussionist, previously worked for local record company BIE records, and held the position of Executive Director of The Lehigh Valley Music Awards from 2001-2006, and is still currently performing , plus managing their carreers. Drama herself , has played drums, since age 6, following in her grandfathers footsteps, before settling into her true passion as a Rap/ Hip Hop artist.
Her musical style is East Coast , Up North Flava, and she has been influenced by artists: Wu Tang Clan, Biggie Smalls, Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim & Rah Digga.
K.O. King Oblivious- 22 years old, hailing from West Palm Beach, Florida, started rapping at the tender age of 12. His grandfather, was a known sax player in the community, but it was the poetic side of the lyrics in music that inspired him to write, and gives him his verbal prowess. He has been writing poetry since a young child, and in sixth grade had one of his poems , entitled Clouds, published in the book- Analogy of poetry for young Americans.
His style is down South flow, influenced by artists: T.I., BG, Gucci Man & Trick Daddy.
Coming from two different worlds , with individual styles, makes their collaboration unique, and compliments them in a way to become a musical powerhouse. They aspire to make music that people can relate to, and vibe with , with issues that are on the money .
Their style has been described as refreshing and likened to the days of true "Old School " Hip Hop.
